Halle Berry, the 43-year-old Oscar-winning actress, and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, the 34-year-old French-Canadian model, have officially split up after four and a half year of romance!
"I am sad to say that Halle and I have decided together to separate at this time. She is, and will forever be one of the most special and beautiful people that I have ever known, and I am certain that we will continue to have only love and respect for one another. " Aubry has confirmed the breakup news by issuing a statement to Access Hollywood early Saturday.
Aubry and Berry started dating in November 2005 after meeting on a Versace photoshoot. The pair, who never wed, has a 2-year-old daughter named Nahla Ariela Aubry together.
“We have been blessed with the most amazing daughter in the world, and her happiness and well-being are the most important thing for both of us. Please respect our privacy during this very difficult time.” The model continued.
The couple were said to have broken up a few months ago. They are currently working out a custody agreement for their daughter Nahla.
