my comm INSISTS on pronouncing “tacalfred” as two very distinct words.

ok so… Canada vs Panama. Bad game on the surface, but plenty of implications.

• Canada wins, USA must win for 1st, and a draw means they finish in 3rd, therefore it’s USA/MEX, therefore the scramble for tickets is on.
• Panama wins, a draw is alright for 2nd place (and a match vs Jamaica).
• Draw, a draw is alright for 2nd place (and a match vs Jamaica).

Many people expect USA to come fired up and beat Guadeloupe 9-0 anyway, so I hope that happens. When you think about it, USA hasn’t been this low for three years, after the ITA/BR loses in the Confed Cup. So after all this time, feelings of failure have come back, and the thousands of comments and articles panicking out there are a relatively new phenomenon when the national team is concerned. But as we’ve seen a bunch of times, they ALWAYS come back and shut everyone up. So I’m expecting it.
