Hugh Hefner, the 84-year-old Playboy boss, and Crystal Harris, his 24-year-old girlfriend and Playmate, got engaged on Christmas Eve!
Hugh Hefner took to his Twitter page to announce that he had proposed to Crystal Harris on Friday (December 24): "After the movie tonight, Crystal & I exchanged gifts. I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve. When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory."
On Sunday (December 26), Hefner added: "Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. I didn't mean to make a mystery out of it. A very merry Christmas to all."
Hefner and Harris met each other on Halloween in 2008 and began dating in January 2009. It will be the third marriage for the Playboy founder.
In 1949, Hefner wed first wife Mildred Williams with who he had two children, Christie, 58, and David, 55. The pair divorced in 1959. In 1989, he married Playboy Playmate Kimberley Conrad, who gave him two sons, Marston Glenn, 20, and Cooper Bradford, 19. Their divorce was finalized in March this year.
